The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently browsing the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render services into the community.
SASSA will be rendering expert services which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In an announcement, the agency stated it is actually alarmed with regards to the large number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a superior variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This can be mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office committed to service the area on a daily basis. The services position made for intervention activities a superior inflow of potential beneficiaries, which makes it tough for your office to attend to website all people who go to a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more resources to help the servicing of all shoppers and enhance entry to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
